Take it up with the guy saying the miata was suppose to be in a movie from 1986. I'm focused in on the choice between a miata and a ferrari. The only fantasy i was focusing in on is that there is any choice.

I can't see where this is not a compliant trade. Results would be only two blocks of RSV and it does not cause a 30/168 violation that did not exist prior to the trade. RSV grouping in my category were 3-99-5 for the OCT bid period. Anyone can explain what I'm missing?
You can’t move X days from the middle. Any move has to come from the beginning or end of an X day block. The resulting schedule still has to comply with the 3-99-5.

As mentioned by Texan the move has to be from the front or back end of your X days. Assuming there is adequate reserve coverage you can try and do it in two Separate PCS runs. Move 12-15 to 16-19 and then next run move 05-08 to 12-15.

Seems like it would work but I’ve been confounded more then once by our onerous x day move rules.

Agree that this is how icrew works, but does anybody know if that is what the contract dictates?

Yes it’s what the contract dictates. If we had the type of ability many want in moving Xdays reserves in many categories could effectively block trip awards for the entire month. Some use mil leave to do that now.

Not being lazy here, I just can't find it. Do you have a contractual reference?

Depends on what type of XX day moves we're talking about. If you are inferring that people want to use their 13 off days as 1 day off every 2 or 3 days then I agree, Delta cannot run an airline that way. But moving a group of days from the middle of a large block to somewhere else, and the new schedule conforms to 3-99-5 or whatever the category rules happen to be should not be a problem. Assuming enough open RES days you can already do that, but it takes 2-3 PCS runs. Often I find myself in the situation where my end-state would be legal with proper RES available but the in-between steps of getting to that point I run into not having enough reserve coverage OR I'd have to give up a weekend of XX days knowing that once I move those, I won't be able to get them back since the REQ is already lower than the available. That is extremely frustrating and doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
