Could it be due to a sick leave contest? Is there a list anywhere? I couldn't find one on Crew Resources or DALPA websites.

Just curious about my overflowing cup.
I would imagine it's due to the sick leave contest. There should be a list on Deltanet.

Ok, need a fairly quick answer. When is the earliest departure time you can be assigned for a trip coming off X days? It is a DH with an 1136 departure time for DH flight. I thought it was noon.

Thanks

Denny

Edit: Nevermind. I found it in the Contract. Trip cannot have a report prior it 10am coming off X day as long as it’s assigned by 1500 base time on last X day........Drat!

1000 report coming off X days, but has to be on schedule by 1500 previous day.

I think that's base time, but I was NYC based so I was always same time zone as ATL.

I believe that’s correct. The noon limit is for coming off a vacation day.

You are both correct as far a I can read. If it’s not assigned by 1500 base time on your last X day then I believe you are good till noon.

Thanks.

Yep.. Only gotcha is it just has to be on sched by 1500.. They won't/Can't call until 0001..

So I'd aways check schedule at 1501.. Screencap it with the time, then just wait for the inevitable call for short call.

You are correct with the 1000/1200 times but that assumes your non-fly day (not just x day) ends at midnight. The contract says it has to be on your schedule NLT 9 hrs prior to the end of the non fly day...important nuance when your non fly day ends at a weird time like a PR/PB day or coming off 30hrs of rest in the middle of a block of RES days.

Say coming off rest/PR at 1800, is the earliest trip they can assign still 1000 the following day? And it has to be on your schedule by 0900 the day prior? Never really had to pay attention to this nuance until recently.

Ok, another question.

The last two days of the trip I’ve been assigned on reserve are deadhead only legs. I want to deviate and get home two days early. Do I need to call crew scheduling after my last active leg or can I just do it through icrew and not worry about calling in the two hour window between my last active leg and my deviate DH leg.........from a foreign airport? I know you USED to have to call but don’t know the current guidance. Thanks,

Denny

Last I saw you still have to "notify" (not ask) crew scheduling. That can only be accomplished with a phone call( maybe thru that newfangled app on the ipad..not sure). However, from am international destination(especially) I haven't done it and haven't heard a peep....(10 year history)....I mean realistically what are they gonna do? make you retire?

Again...it's a notification vice a request. A few times I have , a few times I've tried(long wait time on hold) but numerous times i've made no attempt/forgot. YMMV
