Hello, if you are RES up until the end of a month going into a REG month, can they give you a spill trip into that month during your days off? Thanks

Yes they can. It's way down on the coverage ladder though. When it happened to me 2 summers ago JUL - AUG, I got some extra pay but I can't remember why.

And is a reason a lot of seasoned switchers will put an X day on the last day of the Res month, if you can.

Ok, dumb question but I can’t find the answer. How long after your last CQ sim check can you be scheduled again? I thought 9 months was the early month.

It's 9 months from base month to base month, so if you go late, then early it could only be 7 months apart, or early to late makes it 11 months...

Thanks! I went late last time so that makes sense now.

Reserve question here - how does pay work on a carry-over rotation? I had a CA tell me to be careful b/c the last carry-over trip he did on res all of the pay/credit went towards the later month.

I have 2 days of availability at the end of Jan and I know they are going to fly me. Currently I'm just below being 'full'. I also have 6 more days after that going into Feb. Based on what this CA told me I'm worried if they give me a 4 day carry-over all of the pay/credit will just go towards my Feb res guarantee and I will have worked to within .5 hrs of guarantee in Jan for 'nothing'. Is this crazy? I couldn't find anything about carry-over/asterisk rotations on res in the PWA. Thanks.

He's pretty much right. All the flying in the Feb bid period (which starts 31Jan, btw) and credit from the rotation will be in credited in Feb. The only pay you get in Jan from the trip is the flying done in Jan.

You could move an X day to 31Jan to avoid that.

You get paid actual block, plus minutes under, in the month you fly it. All credit, as in the difference in scheduled block and the ADG, gets paid on the last day of the trip. The way you worded it, it makes it sound like the Capt told you the entire trip pays in the second month. Not true.

If you are a single minute under Res guarantee, they can fly you to ALV +15, and fly you into x days (or Reg days off) in the next month. Ask me how I know...

*edit* iaflywr types faster, but is right too. Though, you have to move an x day 72 hours prior I think. You might not be able to square that corner.
