This is encouraging. I take it as a good sign of things to come when the company hires in the reservations department.

Res Sales hiring in Sioux City, four other call centers
January 7, 2010

Reservation Sales is hiring representatives for five U.S. call centers.

Openings exist at the call centers in Sioux City, Iowa; Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City.

Qualifications include strong verbal and written communication skills, sales and customer service experience or other relevant job experience, computer skills and a desire to work in a team environment.

Employees who are interested can access Delta’s e-bid on the DeltaNet Self Service. External applicants can apply online at delta.com.

His plan for going it alone was a growth plan and that got me hired. So, it is pretty easy for me to have a favorable impression of Jim's direction for the Company. His tenure is also the last time we posted a profit. He was at the helm for getting us out of bankruptcy and he sure seemed to bleed Blue.

The subsequent plan to merge kicked off with fleet rationalization which resulted in demotion, another demotion a merger which I will not comment on and hundreds of millions of dollars in associated expenses. ALPA says it is the economy and that is probably true. They also say Jim Whitehurst was no friend to the pilots, that could be true. Like I wrote, I've got a favorable impression of Anderson and ALPA's opinion of him seems favorable.

I keep coming back to ALPA because our union is our Bargaining Agent, we have a Pilot Director, and my opinion is .0008 of what matters in the grand scheme of things.

Yup, mainline pilots love to hear this. Did he say that the utilization on the remaining RJ's will increase for an actual increase in ASM's like last year?
