The DAL South Merger Committee has 2 members.
They both had similar reactions when DAL North actually filed some seniority "claims".
I decided to show the Chairman but it could just as easily been the other guy.

But, reading this made me wonder............Jal is in the other terminal in NRT. NRT is a HUDGE airport, moving people back and forth with our new partners will be a new logistical puzzle. A terminal swap with UAUA?

The devil is in the details. And the next detail is another cup of coffee

It will go on for 5 years until the C&Rs expire.

The DAL-N Merger Committee is "Roberts hardened" veterans and ready for battle.

The DAL-S Merger Committee is ........ not so much:
Actually the members of the N DRC are relatively junior NB Captains. If you mean hardened, it might mean from listening to and suffering from the Roberts food fight most of their careers.

That said if a claim is filed they are duty bound to explore and represent the claim if it has merit. The 2 guys on the N side are as far from the Tanksley crowd as humanly possible, and I doubt they would press this issue if they felt it was without merit.

Let's not turn the inevitable claims - by both sides - into the SLI bickering all over again.

Exactly. Filing claims like this doesn't exactly help matters. The irony comes from the fact that the claim states that the 777 is replacing 742 flying.

When was the last time you saw a 742 in DTW on a regular basis? Not to mention flying the point to point legs they are doing.

What a waste of money and energy.

Would that be considered going ugly early? Or was that a part of the 2 minute drill?

Both the North and the South though an assessment, have paid one million each in to a fund for these types of things. There goes your money.

Is there some kind of software or email subscription that will tell us when a trip comes open on the open board? Also I have a MAC and dont want to download any windows on to my computer. Navtech doesn't work but I heard there might be a pay 2.99/month bid assist program that does. Is this true and if so what is it called?

Thanks

My I think that you are trying to give the literary contingent a heart attack

Who knows what is going to happen. As many have stated the 744 has life left in it, but as fuel goes up so those the CASM. That said, there are some 777-300's that should shortly be on the market.

Point is that until it hits the tarmac flying a DAL flight with DAL pilots it probably is anyone's guess. IF we get the JAL code share Deal, we will need widebody lift. I am sure that the direction and possible needs will be disclosed shortly after JAL's decision is announced. (Think two months or so for most of the chips to fall)
