ACL you say only two 777 funded, but the memo states this will complete the 6 777LR scheduled for delivery. Any thoughts?

They are saying that they have already staffed the other four. I can see two of them being staffed already since we were to get them at the end of the current conversion period, but not the other two. I will have to look at it a little closer.
With them going to two AE's that says a lot to a guy like me. It means that there is a lot in the works that cannot be accounted for on the AE. That is good guys. It means that they did not want to just go on the factors of today. Hope that the economy is done cratering by March.

Well I thought it was going to be worse. The only good news is that with no hiring and big expansion again this summer....GREENSLIPS on the ER are gonna fly out everyday!!! I think will will see a big improvement in the Jan AE. Make sense to wait. Again..glad to see no displacements, but I don't think all the domestic guys in CVG will go to the ER.

And I will tell you that if they do not and the training costs are too great, they will pull the bid. Read the memo.
What this effectively does is push off hiring and whatnot until after IAM and the other unions/ employee groups are dealt with.
Like I said, one of the other options was much worse. This is good. We will all be able to enjoy the holidays knowing that non of us will loose our jobs like many are doing right now. That is something to be truly grateful for.

ACL - disregard. You already answered my question. Thank you for the good information.
Wondering how the MD88 is going to get relief if they are not going to hire and are not going to displace.... anyone know?

AE in March or April would deal with that after other issues are dealt with. Still in time under the LOA.

So what about the shortage on the MD88 in ATL? Could there still be movement into it from the other bases even though its not on this bid?

About backfilling, here's what I gathered from the memo:
73N: No backfilling
765 (which is the 767-400): Some or no backfilling
757/767 (Domestic): Some or no backfilling
Since no others are mentioned, there might be backfilling for the M88, 7ER, or NYC777, depending on who bids out of those categories.
Aside from the backfilling, I'm happy to see this AE isn't a big upset. Both parts were expected I think.
