Finally got around to looking at the AE on eCrew. Question, if I don't want to bid the 777 or CVG 7ER (not that I'd get it anyway), do I even need to bid in the AE section?

I'll still put some stuff in the MD and VD bids but am I correct in not putting anything in the AE block?

I can't believe that no one has brought up the fact that our flight attendants are younger and hotter. We are clearly bring more to the table with that!!! The increase weight of the super premium 747s is to off set the increase in weight of the NWA FAs. In fact I heard there is colonies of stray cats living in secret places on those things. Is that true?

SPWB + SSNB = MD88

Simple math people!!!! in otherwords

Super Premium Wide Body + Super $hitty Narrow Body = MD88

Ts,

Yes. You are right. I should have said "we." Thanks for getting me back on the magenta line. LNAV is engaged. :)

Ok,

Hey!! EVERYONE!! This AE stuff is crazy!!! WE need to go the the way those guys at NWA used to do it. If you don't know, ask one of them. They are the ones that are complaining about wearing their hats.

How's that, Ts? :D

ranger-
You are not correct.
You seem to be under the impression that the only categories where AEs will be awarded are those listed on the bid. That is not true.
The company has said pretty clearly that its not going to be 1 for 1 up and down the list, but there will certainly be at least some "backfilling". Openings in 777A set off the classic "chain reaction" throughout the entire list. Much bigger effect than openings in M88A just for example.

Its all up to crew resources how much to backfill, but you can get an AE to ANY category on a bid with 777A openings. Keep your AE preferences updated. If you want something, put it in the computer.

Sounds good to me... and we are indistinguishable when it comes to the hat...

Can anyone share any insight/rumors of what the displacement bid mean for hiring in 2009?
