Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Have they even talked furloughs? Everything I have heard from ALPA and the CP office is NO, but you seem more in tune with the airline planning people...

Not so fast. We're not overstaffed till we staff per Delta, which isn't till bid period 5, which may be as late as Nov 09.

Like I said the first time, these airplanes will be redeployed. Less frequency with the Africa stuff, but a greater crew requirement will result in no furloughs from this announcement. Now if we cut further all bets are off.

Yep, it is a little more than normal, but with a bid training event happening with the 777's we will need the extra bodies.
