Ah, yes... You're totally correct... It is a Comfort Inn... I always get confused between the various hotels in that same chain. Thanks. :)

No problem:) It's not hard to mix it up with a Clarion:D

Funny Denny. It is this little thing called winter that she does not like. She has been complaining about being in WI for Christmas all month. The only time she puts up with the cold is when she is skiing. No good slopes in Southeastern WI.

BTW what are your plans once your season is over. More infomercials. ;)

Just be careful cruising that neighborhood after dark. It's pretty bad.

didn't some guys get mugged between the Comfort Inn and the Manchester Arms (nice neighborhood pub) some months back (1/3 mile walk down Virginia)? In the same vicinity as the slimeball DUI attorney's office/slum apartment complex?

Things are improving on the North side of Virginia. The South side, not so much. Recommend a large group (and/or firearms) if you walk back from the Arms after dark. Don't do it in groups of three or less.

Actually I recommend to all the capt's I fly with to walk to the Arm for dinner....Nothimg wrong with helping the seniority list a bit.

Any way to make a buck!!:D

By the way, I went to the Council 54 meeting on the 8th and it was, get this(!), just like a regular ALPA meeting!!!:D There were about 5 or 6 of us there. I went with a NW buddy of mine. There were a few questions asked of us about contractual things and they were answered to the best of our ablity (which, in my case, is somewhat lacking:D).

The one thing that came up was the lack of communication between the MEC's and MEC committee's. I cannot comment on this because I know nothing about it but, according to them, joint meetings between committee members have been canceled by the RD side and they are wondering why. They were hoping it would pick up in the near future. I do too if that is the case. We need to start working together on our common future.

All in all a bunch of really nice guys and I look forward to working with them.....hopefully out of SEA sometime!!!

Denny

Yes, two DAL guys were mugged walking from Manchester Arms back to the Comfort Inn. They had their laptops stolen and were roughed up a bit. When I was there this past summer, the Crowne Forum had 12 cars stolen out of their parking lot in one night. Hookers are working VA Ave up and down the street in front of Spondivits and Malones (and they aren't "lookers"). If you've been back there recently, the Crown Forum parking lot security is tighter than Fort Knox. Security at the Comfort leaves a lot to be desired however.

Definitely would not walk from the training center back to the hotels after dark. Either drive your own car or take the van.
