forgot to bid 06-19-2009 11:38 AM

So, the company has said they were planning a post PIRP August AE, is that AE going to serve as the announcement of furloughs?

...
Also, another idea for staffing. Go kick somebodys ass over at Boeing for screwing up the 787 and kick that thing out on to the flight line and into the air and if any Fed stands in the way, destroy them. I nominate Tomcat for that.

One more improve staffing idea, 777: ATL-Lagos-IAH-Lagos-ATL.

Damn. I'm going to hate waiting around for that AE to be published, reading this forum, hiting refresh (F5) on icrew over and over.

My a/c and roof have gotten the memo about possible furloughs... they all passed a motion that they want to be replaced before July. Nice.

SonAir is what that sound like.

If there are more displacements(surpluses) than openings I would say you will have your answer.

True. That is good. Also they may be a result of who has submitted paperwork. Remember that.

Not true. These awards are based strictly on current seniority. Anyone on the list who PIRPs out will create a vacancy next month (or later), which will be filled by subsequent APAs.

Is the company creating "phantom slots" which will disappear in a few months? I don't think so. Every one of those guys on the list will be in training come August if they are still on the property.

They also know who has submitted. It would be wise to award accordingly. I am sure that was taken in to account.

Your APA says no. Not DAL's AE. Just wait and see what happens over the next month or two. Lots of things are in the works.

Lets hope its good news! I just dont see them cutting from one side only even though thats what was fought for by DALPA during negotiations because of the NWA "furlough jets".

As always, hope for the best and plan for the worst.

Exactly. Like I said there is a lot in play. The landscape and known facts will be different in a month or two.
