No, but I'm laughing at your inability to distinguish the difference between we're (we are) and were.

One's an honest mistake, the other displays a lack of sensibility.

You guys are leaving out alot of info. There may very well be alot of NWA pilots moving to previous DAL bases but not necessarily by choice. If they move our aircraft around to each others bases then the new positions will be because of NWA aircraft in that base. For instance, i would prefer to stay in MEM because of the easy commute but if they yank the bus out of MEM guess what? I am going to go where the plane goes or where the new "easy" commute is. Same goes for DAL, if they move 777, or 767s to NWA bases and close or shrink previous DAL bases then what will those pilots do? Will they raid "OUR" bases? The whole argument is pointless, we dont know the details.

SEA will likely shift alot of previous NWA aircraft out to the east coast and those senior NWA pilots will either commute, retire, or bid other aircraft in SEA. The shift is coming and its of no fault of our own. Stop blaming and pointing fingers at each other, its like ****ing into the wind. ;)

You are spot on.

And the truth is we've just got to adapt to whatever comes and be thankful because I think this merger is probably saving our jobs on both sides of the fence more than anyone realizes.

If that's the plan to cover the -88 pilot shortage when is the latest we'd have to see those guys start going to training? The LOA covering the increased ALV's runs out in March correct? You'd think they'd need to start displacing pretty quickly.

It's funny...I hear a fair amount of jr -ER guys saying they are worried they going to get "screwed" and get bumped off the airplane. What should you be worried about more...getting kicked off the plane or kicked off the property?

I just hope that's the plan verses parking planes...they are going to have to move on this soon I'd think.

I am not complaining if I get moved off the ER. Its been a lot of fun and since the day I was put on it in class I knew it'd probably be short lived so I've just made the most of it. Nobody is screwing me by moving me off the plane, imho, I was lucky to even try it- it's an awesome plane. But my main goal is not to say on the ER but to stay in base, my main hope is to stay on property. One I can bid for, the other I can only pray for.

As for what I was saying there was kind of aimed at someone claiming a few pages back that the goal of NWA pilots is to go bigger and better asap, which I don't even believe was a legit post because that opportunity has been available for many already and they've chosen the 9 and 320 anyways. But even if someone felt that way thats fine, enjoy it - thats what seniority does for you, but the fact is don't get your hopes up on a certain category just because there are junior pilots on it right now- it might not be so a few months from now with MDs.

Anyways, its a moo point.
