Giving the company exemptions from parts of the contract to build better trips or relief on min and max hours ect. can come back to haunt you later. This airline has been combined for 3 whole months. Massive changes have taken place. More changes will come. Some are going to have negative effects on portions of the seniority list. Things will get fixed if they can be at a price the company is willing to pay. Anytime your in a small fleet you tend to get skewed results. Those results can work for and against you. Lots of pilots have taken years off from working and yet still drawn the reserve pay by being in nitch categories. I know MD11 guys who took 5 years off. Sometimes your the dog and sometimes your the hydrant but no one is out to get you.
Yeap, Sometimes your the windshieldand sometimes your the bug.
I expect that we will all experience some good and bad in the next few years. Hopefully this Scrappy guy is Scrappy and does a good job. I can pass no judgement on him, only on the most difficult process of trying to build a month of flying out of ridiculus rotations. That is not fun. But things are better for April and hopefully the future.

Yup. But in my experience they always use them.

Not a question of if, just when. We will be way short this summer. They think that GS can cover it, but with every route they add, that gets less likely.

Look for some AC destination swaps in the near future. (more)
Is this referring to the next AE posting? Is that how DAL announces staffing decisions, via the AE process (ie more vacancies than available pilots??)

THIS is the kind of info that people keep coming back to APC for Keep the good news, even if it's just speculative dot-connecting, coming!

I know this has been answered before, but...

I'm a fully qualified 755b moving from DTW to ATL in April. The 757/767 fleet manager called last week and said that all DalN pilots would have to complete WWO initial training and then fly a TOE. OK, I guess I can live with that as I need to see how DalS guys do it. I had two CDG trips that I now see have been removed from my schedule (I'm pay guaranteed) while waiting for TOE. If I understand this correctly, I am off the schedule until that TOE is accomplished??? I so, cool. I get to see all The Masters but I still have to do the honey-do's. If not, can they assign me to domestic flying?

Thumbs up We accept new 777-LR

Took delivery today.
The newest delivery is the second 777LR added to the Delta fleet this year and makes possible the launch of service between Detroit and Hong Kong, effective June 1. In addition to the Detroit-Hong Kong service, Delta will operate 777LR aircraft with full-flat beds this summer between Atlanta and Tokyo-Narita, Dubai and Johannesburg, as well as on flights connecting Los Angeles to Sydney, Detroit to Shanghai, and Tokyo-Narita to Singapore.

Hey Keenster,

Perhaps a crash course in grammar and spelling would give you more credibility. Just a thought.
