Help please. I'm a 320 FO. Started SC @ 0500 & have been assigned a 1625 report to work a flight to MSP then DH back for a 2208 arrival. Is this a legal assignment?? Since when can we work 16+ hour duty days??

Short call is not considered being on duty. Your duty day starts when you report for the trip. Whitlow does require that you can look back and find 8 hours rest in the previous 24 hours however that would not apply to the DH back. Your legal FAR wise and you are legal contractually.

Short call is not duty time and short call is not rest for Whitlow. Some get the two confused.

I wish..I do miss the 75/76. I have been away for 1.5 years and I still think about it. It like an old girlfriend of mine that was very talented and that was 15 years ago!!! Some things just stay with ya!!

Hey, I'm a reeeal airline pilot, I don't need no stinkin' differences training!! I'll just do it on the first leg!! That training sounds strangely familiar!

But, seriously, I thought we were all just "blessed." There isn't any is there? I'm real gullible so you can get me with just about anything!!

I was not even close to getting one of the longer asia trips in may.

Denny

SC is not Duty. Duty starts at report. SC is not rest so max is 16 hrs, but you are DHing back so that is legal both contractually and FAR wise.
