Thats absolutely correct.

As to JFK, maybe an Iraq/Afghanistan style troop surge is in order, especially on the holidays. I know you don't want to encourage bad behavior at other stations because you throw money and people at JFK, but if JFK is our NYC international hub then it needs help.

I'm not privy to what it is they're planning or doing up there, obviously, but I sure hope its not status quo waiting for construction to begin.

Point is that the numbers are fluid as the world economy tries to find sure footing. The 300 announced is a floor, everything else is up in the air. It is best because even flight ops does not know what their numbers are going to be.

They do not like their leaks, and are doing everything to shutter them. They shut ACL down. That should tell you something.
Thanks for your concern, but if im not mistaken this is a public forum with thousands of pages of rumors/good info/dot connecting all for entertainment purposes. If the company puts out a memo and says they are looking for the guy named Beer on APC, then Ill be worried about "getting shut down"

Very good point!

I'm going to add this point, though. I think a lot of our performance issues may have to do with how the rampers are managed also. I don't think increasing pay alone is the answer. SWA rampers start at about $10 to $11 per hour which is about what our rampers make. Yet, they bust their butts to get the planes out. A place like JFK, maybe the rampers don't care because they don't feel like they have a vested interest in the company. They probably run the ramp understaffed as it is. I'm not sure what the answer is because I don't work on the ramp, but I think just increasing salaries alone is not the answer and probably won't fix the problem. I think Richard Anderson should be on the show "Undercover Boss." Maybe he could figure out the answer!

Is that a real photo?

'Cause I'm thinkin tsquare could probably design a really cool glass floored house for this site or maybe a cantilevered one like falling water. He could be the new frank lloyd wright. The plumbing for geothermal is already done.

Post a sign: Clean fill wanted.

Here is a snippet that I found for those of you concern about spreading rumors.

"Delta Air Lines now plans to hire at least 300 new pilots. This is up from the 240 that it had originally announced earlier this month. Delta Air Lines spokeswoman, Gina Laughlin, confirmed this statement to the media."

FWIW, they also told those LCA's/AQFO's to quit posting the blow by blow brief on the forums too. They do not like open written communication posted on an open forum.

Heard that from a NYC AQFO.

I see the point that some are trying to make. This thread gets read by a lot more than DAL employees, and that has given many heartburn. I respect that.

Even if it is read by more than DAL employees, people in this industry know better than to trust rumors until it is put out publicly.

Hey all,

Change of subject here. What's the difference between an Authorized Personal Drop, and a Personal Drop as found under the PCS?

Thanks,

Gnewt
