Agreed!

Although if I keep going backward in LA I'm going to have to go to SLC on the bus. Commuting to reserve SUCKS and I'm not too far from that.

I will be willing to help set up the Las Vegas APC reunion that everyone keeps talking about - I even have some contacts at the Wynn! Best looking waitresses in town!!!!

Thanks Denny,

I did that and it was still not showing - maybe a PCS run has to occur first. I also listed it on the swap board thinking if I checked the disclaimer allowing it to be seen it would automatically populate open time - no luck.
Scoop

I believe it will be in the system but not so you can see it on the open time as a "Q" trip until after a PCS run. The system probably has to see that the trip actually will not drop as a regular personal drop first. This won't happen until a PCS run.

Sounds like you know this but to clarify for everyone, to up your chances of dropping a trip it is best to list it as a drop in both PCS via the Personal Drop and via the Swap Board. Both have different criteria for how much time someone else can pickup.

Thanks for the notes. My pleasure!

Glad to hear the 787 is being mentioned. I think that is the first positive note about the airplane since we merged. I know he said "none for 18-24 months" but that like in Dumb and Dumber... "so you're saying there's a chance!?" It was not brought up by them but was a question asked at the end.

Interesting that they are keeping more DC-9s that they thought. A great airplane to fly around at low fuel costs, matches Airtran well. Yes it is.

More than half the schedulers are new? Explains a lot... but jeeze, get that place organized.

Shipsets... can't be soon enough on the 7ER. I'm not complaining, it's my back that's complaining. Carrying around the US, South America, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia is a lot of charts. Plus all the enroute charts. And some low charts. I can see why your back is "complaining!" If you are carrying around all that, check the FOM for carry requirements for the theater you are operating in for the trip. You might be able to take something out.

Capacity growth is good. Means the yields are improving I imagine. Yes, yields are improving!

Reducing debt is very good - I think that is where airlines like SWA have a big cost advantage over us. Yes, verrrry good! If I remember right, said our interest payments were around 900 million a year!

Blah, blah, blah...............filler

- Do not anticipate getting any 787’s for 18 to 24 months
- MD 90 qualification for NYC in Fall this year, ATL in Spring of next year
- Next AE Bid in Sep-Oct time frame
- Possible additional 747, 777 crews
- possible a few more 7ER crews in SEA
- SLC to ER category
- status quo for equipment base re-alignment…no equipment moves…..do not Want to “chase revenues” with base changes. Equipment requirements can Change fairly frequently on routes
- some DC 9 positions available too. Keeping some of the -40’s until 1st Quarter of 2011- I don’t know how many
- 40 crew schedulers total of which 28 are in their first year
- 330 bases staying where they are now. Possibly change later next year
- Hiring
- 305 this year
- 115-120 total flow ups
- as of 17 jun, 46 furlough bypass have sent in letters to come back
- preferential interviews for guys who had class dates canceled last time
- 2100+ apps in the system
- Project retirements to be about 10% for those 60 and over.
- Shipset jepps for 330 in July and 7ER in Oct.
- 2% capacity growth this year. Close to where we were pre-recession
- Should be 8 SAS MD90 coming. (SAS was what was said) Trying to get more
- Current debt of 16.4Billion. Expect to see that at 15 Billion by end of this year!
Aware now of the extra gas that the 330 seems to be landing with

Disclaimer, These are my interpretations of what was said.

Thanks Denny. Nice info. :)

Anybody remember that One Great Airline (or something like that) pass that allowed us positive space? If so, does anyone know how that process works? Is it online, or ticket counter stuff?

Thanks,

Carl

It was via a phone number - you call the employee service center, and listen for the pass travel menu. I think they were called "One Great Team" passes or something, try searching DeltaNet for that. The word is you need "T" class availability for the flights... which can be tough apparently. There's a document on DeltaNet all about it - takes a few clicks for find it, but once you do it's all laid out.

Already did! I took our A-M of the domestic. Still carrying 2 jammed-full chart-wallets of enroute charts, AOM I, Airway manual and three full Jepp binders of charts. Being on reserve, I really have to be ready for any destination.

Anyway - the ship sets will be helpful.

Carl,

I just went to the Deltanet Fltops page and did a search using "one great airline pass." Then I clicked on the very first link which had "pass travel" in it. It took me to the Pass Travel page and on the left hand side the was a link for one great airline pass info. I didn't go into it but it could be a start. Good Luck!

I'm trying to get excited about the idea of shipsets, but I was informed the other day that you'll be checking out a flight kit and lugging it around instead of what I had hoped which was a flight kit that remained in the aircraft. Any truth to the former?
