I don't remember, but what is the limit on 70 seat jets? Since DAL is reconfiguring the 76 seaters to 70 seats, does this play into the drama?
Thanks

Yep, and what other reason would you sell an airline to the owner of GoJets?
What are the different flow scenarios? Did Mesaba's require Mesaba to be wholly-owned? If not, then why doesn't Pinnacle have a flow? I know Compass's flow remains intact assuming the Compass pilots are not merged into another list. Is it possible for no Compass pilot to ever flow and no more Mesaba pilots to flow?
Compass and Mesaba as of today are no longer "affiliates".
It appears the flows are now "negotiable" again. Its up to management and ALPA whether to continue.
The default position for Mesaba seems to be that the flows terminate. Compass is less clear except that their management can unilaterally terminate the flow if they wish. I would expect them to terminate it. Its nothing but a training cost for them.
Here's the Mesaba language:
A. General
1. The Flow through rights established in this Letter of Agreement shall be subject to the following limitations:
a. The right of any company pilot to Flow Down to MSA, or MSA pilot to Flow Up to NWA, pursuant to the terms of this Letter of Agreement, shall not become effective prior to January 1, 2008;
b. The right of any company pilot to Flow Down to MSA, or MSA pilot to Flow Up to NWA, pursuant to the terms of this Letter of Agreement, shall be effective only so long as MSA remains an Affiliate of the Company, provided the parties will, prior to the termination of the Flow through rights referenced herein, meet and confer for the purpose of discussing whether continuation or modification of this Flow Through Agreement would be appropriate given the circumstances at that time. Any continuation or modification shall require the mutual agreement of the parties.
Here's the Compass language:
A. General.
1. This Letter of Agreement governs employment opportunities at the company and at the Feeder Carrier Affiliate for all NWA pilots with a system seniority number together with future pilots employed by the Company and pilots employed by the Feeder Carrier Affiliate. In the event of a sale of Feeder Carrier Affiliate such that it is no longer an affiliate of NWA, the flow up rights of Feeder Carrier Affiliate new hire pilots (Sections D and H below) can be terminated by the Feeder Carrier without impacting the Company’s upper cap in Section 1.B.7.c. (e.g. upper cap of 90)

No limit on 70 seaters. I don't think Delta is reducing the number of 76 seaters.

TransStates Holding Co did not have a DCI ASA prior to today. There was no secondary benefit to sell them to these guys. Selling them to RJET or SKW would have allowed they to alter the FFD structured ASA's to the "At Risk" structure. It appears that is the structure of the new agreement with TSA, but there is no other real benefit since they were a WO.
The only other bennies I can see is the DOT3 et al will now e paid by someone one else. We may see some A/C obligations removed from our balance sheet as well. We are getting out of the WO game. There are going to be wants/desires on these flows and my guess is that if we do not play ball these airlines will be sold again.

When you say wants/desires on these flows from whose point of view are you speaking?
Thanks,

Read your PWA. 255 total 70/76 seat jets. 153 76 seat jets until we go above the high water mark agreed to in the 76 seat scope settlement.
They can have 255 70 seat (66) jets if they want to with now 76 seaters.

Correct. The CRJ-700 was a single class 70 seat config, and they are being converted to a 2 class 66 seat config.

. I guess it is the crj 700's that are getting the first class section.
