Why did this get moved to the regional thread.

rvr350 02-13-2009 10:20 AM

It's seemingly fitting considering we just gave up more flying to the regionals, so we might as well be put in a regional board.

What are you guys talking about?

hehe...

Thanks, I was not sure what that happened. I am guessing that it was to move the other thread that was moved. Thanks for your timely action.

Here is one for ya.

I have been getting a few indications that RJDC is seeing LOA 2006-10 as an infraction on its agreement with ALPA. RJDC's beef is that this LOA pertained to only its original signatory's. (NWA-DAL-CPA and Mesaba) Fact is that due to the fact that this LOA now applies to all DCI carrier is very important to all Delta pilots. As we are shrinking we need to realize that this now affords our pilots the ability through our CBA to have rights at other carriers. It was not unintentional.
What we need to do is make sure that our MEC and CNC do not sign a MOA with the RJDC and company that it only includes these carriers. If they do that it is only a further erosion of our CBA rites. I urge all of you to contract our representation and tell them what the importance of this NWA LOA 2006-10 is to all of us.

I'm not following. Can someone simplify it for me please?:o

What is the agreement between the RJDC and ALPA?

RockyBoy 02-13-2009 04:13 PM

OK, I think I get it and for some reason I never read this LOA. This is HUGE. Are there any category 3 DCI carriers because I thought that all of them at least operated a few airframes that they lease from Delta. I'm not aware of any of the DCI carriers that own or lease all their airframes themselves. Even SKYW leases some from Delta don't they?

acl65pilot 02-13-2009 04:59 PM

yes and getting very warm. Read Section 1 too!

Yep, this is huge. Everyone needs to understand this deal and e-mail your reps about it. Let them know you know what it says and what you expect from this. At this point, this LOA is more important to us than any no furlough clause. If the MEC gives this LOA away, I'm gonna vote that we boot ALPA and get the RJDC guys running the union.
