Someone mentioned it earlier, but how far out are the 787 orders???
I would think at least another year, but not sure if we are converting or delaying those aircraft deliveries.
I've heard the prolonged contractual delivery date of the 787s, formerly held be NWA, will translate into quite a bit in savings/incentives from Boeing eventually.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say. And when you're wrong, admit it. Until then, you do not have my personal or professional respect. I think you do everyone a disservice.

The members of the negotiating committee at NWALPA would disagree with your assertion. I'll bet the DALPA negotiating committee would disagree as well, but I don't know that since I was not a Delta guy.

Could be. The ATL C P O publication says ATL is going to see some fleet changes that will make a "new normal." The plan keeps changing, but they promise to pass along information as it is firmed up.
If the 320 comes to Atlanta, I wonder what will become of 737 staffing. The 320 is getting a lot of the flying which used to go very senior on the 737.

nwaf16dude,
Would you happen to know if a guy will sit or work with a Dec 1. conversion date and a training date of Dec. 21? I am not real sure how the contract reads regarding delayed training and conversion dates.

IOW they are "professional" negotiators because they are PAID.
They play run scared and hide about as well as they negotiate. They've been in the game so long, I'd guess they already know what each negotiated item means to a pilot.
I really do want to say something positive and rosy here, I really really do.
