All in all, I would think assigning trips to reserve pilots and short calls for the following day by 11:00 am on the day prior wouldn't be too much to ask.

I mean they need to assign the trips anyway, why is completed by 9 am on some days and not done by 4 in the afternoon on other days.

I realize it is all subject to change, but it would be nice to give a little more heads up to reserve pilots. Bad enough we have no idea where we sit until 24 hours before our scheduled reserve day.

Qatar will be a challenge. It is hot there and even top athletes will succumb to 100 deg at 8pm in July/august

Having spent some "quality" time over in Qatar I can tell you it is not going to be fun to play there in the summer.

Temps for my tour there averaged 115 during the day and 90 to 100 at night. The problem at night is the humidity kicks in. If you wanted to go for a run or other outdoor activities you had to go at between midnight and 5 am. That should be fun.

If offered free tickets, airfare, and hotel I would still decline.

Yeah, can you believe it? The NMB changed the rules so that if you want your vote to count you have to do something crazy like vote. :cool:
