I tend to enjoy more in depth reporting of the news and current events. Frontline, 60 minutes etc. It is more of an education than watching Springer type news every night. Again, it is only an opinion and I do tend to flip on CNN before anyone else. Have to support those Atlanta corporations right?
I agree but it is getting harder and harder to get in-depth reporting in a sound bite/Twitter world. Frontline has some great stuff and 60 minutes is OK - but they will seriously slant the reporting to favor their point of view.
I tend to watch mostly FOX and CNN and with a little bit of MSNBC for perspective and humor, and think overall FOX does the best job. Yes, they tend to be farther right than the others, but considering the left leaning bias of almost every other media outlet I think (and so does the American public at large) that there is a market for this type of approach.
Also, why does FOX cause so much angst because of their right leaning bias? Prior to FOX you had a choice of moderate left, far left, and really far left - what is wrong with some other options?
Finally, if anyone thinks they can get all the news is a straightforward unbiased way from any single media outlet - they are wrong. Much better to watch different outlets with different points of view and decide for yourself who and what is more correct, and who and what is total BS.

As a middle of the road viewer I have to say Fox does a better job of reporting the news without opinion and bias than MSNBC. Take out the Chris Matthews, Maddow, Beck, and O'Reily types and judge it based on just the news report segments and Fox delivers the story more often that MSNBC without the mandatory side dish of their political agenda. In fact, I'd have to say they even beat CNN in that department as CNN brings in left leaning reporters with their bias more often than Fox does with their right leaning biases. Just an impartial observation.
A good Start!!!

Whats the big deal guys? Commuting is a life-stlyle choice, just like joining the French Foreign Legion is a lifestyle choice.
I guess after 9-11 I really didn't have to commute. I could have moved my family from LAX to SLC in 2002 and then to MCO only to be furloughed. And when recalled I could have then moved to ATL, SLC and then back to LAX in 2007.
Only 5 moves in 5 years - then again technically, Nomadic, could be considered a lifestyle.

60 Min... Maybe in depth, but hardly accurate or unbiased. Any "news" organization that knowingly uses forged documents to further a narrative does not deserve the moniker news or journalism.
ps. I'm referring to Dan Rather, Marlene Mapes, and Bill Burkett.

Thank you Buzz. Appreciate the your perspective and I am certain I would learn a lot but again my tongue in cheek comment was not meant to be about Soros but rather the Rupert Murdoch views of the world and the power of his information and the problems anyone with his power and influence can have. A la Soros.
Can you leave me a complimentary copy in box in LAX??

Whatever your origins, nationality or religion might be, whatever qualifications you may or may not have, whatever your social or professional status might be, whether you are married or single, the French Foreign Legion offers you a chance to start a new life...
Never even considered it ... .
Here's the scenario. I swapped two 1 day trips (20th and 22nd) for a 3 day (20th to 22nd). The 3 day gets cancelled. I get a call (DOH! Answered the phone on vacation.) for recovery flying. I get one of my one day trip that I dropped on the 22nd for recovery flying. Am I now free and clear for any more recovery flying or do I still need to answer the phone?
