Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
A few questions:
The slides (Thanks acl!) show retiring of "120 of our least efficient aircraft over the next 18 months including DC-9-50, Saab turbo prop fleets, and 60 50-seat regional jets".
Weren't these cuts previously announced, and there's basically no additional announced fleet reduction?
With our DCI agreements, how does Delta go about saying to one of them that we want to eliminate say 25% of their fee for departure 50 seat RJ feed within six months?
I would think with fuel prices where they are, and knowing that the 50 seat RJ loses money, DAL would want to whack that fleet segment pretty hard.

Since we own comair that is where the 50's will be cut from. Was already announced a few months ago. I think by 2012 sometime it will basically cut comair in half!!

As for DCI they can, if they got 2-1 deals. Again, most are already announced. OH takes care of a ton of this, and my guess is they will accelerate their pulldown to 44 jets
Basically they are retiring 3 jets and bringing on one. ED did not specify Mainline or DCI.
Any "Latest and Greatest" about Delta during the day after a morning JP Morgan conference call... you can even smell the pipes and cigars...

And then when the night crowd returns...

^^^ 5 points to name that establishment.
