Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Nothing has changed contractually on the With conflict GS's. Its the same deal it always was. They drop the conflicting trip and pay you for both trips. Been that way since at least 1986. I once got a 2 day with conflict GS that dropped a 7 day trip. I kind of liked it!!!!!

Not really. A lot of this is intra-Nigeria. Other countries often don't grant "cabatoge" rights within their own country. We also probably don't want to fly within Nigeria ourselves. This allows passengers from out of the way Nigerian cities to fly to Lagos or Abuja, and then get on our planes, so we can fly them the heck out of there. That is good for us. Same with the China Eastern deal, and others like Virgin Australia. We can't fly within their countries. Now, if we dump the LAX-SYD flight, that's another story. Most of the time, it works out for us. Sometimes, it does not. GOL in Brasil might have contributed to our losing Forteleza and Salvador de Bahia. Maybe.

Why the hell is the automated inverse assignment calls for A position going out to B position pilots tonight?

Nobody flies from HNL to China, yet. If they get one flight, then maybe we will also get a flight. China could probably support it. Hooking up with them may allow extra access to other cities, too. I know Hawaiian is anxious to get into that market too. I remember hearing that we wanted to try Maui to NRT nonstop on an 7ER, and they were flying ATL to OGG nonstop for a time, so it could work with the shorter runway there. Hopefully we will try that, and hopefully I will eventually get on the 7ER.

Thanks for the perspective. Didn't know that.
Thanks!

Pilot, Flight Attendant and Aircraft schedules should match or at least the first two, every day.
That's the weak link in swop.

I don't think there is any way that we bottom feeders can get a conflict since we have no trips on our lines. Conflicts are so rare anymore anyway, that honestly I don't even submit one. On the ER they have so many pilots that they can break up a rotation to avoid a conflict. they will also award an out of base GS before a conflict too.
Not to digress, but the funny thing is though, I still have no idea what the purpose of short call pilots is in my category. I was on short call a week or so ago, and several GSs went out on trips that would have been perfect for me. I don't get it. Anyway.. I hope this helps

T, I have noticed the same thing - Greenslips with guys on shortcall...? OK
My previous life was spent mainly in A300/310's. After the AA587 accident our DFDAU's were modified to send a message to the crew and MX anytime 0.15 lateral G was exceeded in flight.
Were the DAL/NW 320/330's also modified to automatically provide that alert ?
Thanks in advance.....
