Who was that congresswoman or senator to be who made the comment "It is great to be here today with the great unwashed"? Not realizing what that really meant.

It will never match what Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (representative of the district including the Johnson Space Center) asked at a hearing. When NASA reps were there testifying and showing video of one of the Mars rovers, Ms Lee asked: "Can we drive that thing over to where Neil Armstrong landed?"

That'd be one hell of a drive...

These unfortunates, beholden to duty in a Garden State where no gardens exist, surely lament assignment before the dawn.

I'm not sure why I got that but I think I did.

Maybe, but it doesn't have that Pavolvian zing as "ding, you're now free to blah blah blah".

Thanks! Busy flying day yesterday, couldn't acknowledge it sooner.

My opinion is a NYC 320 base is inevitable. However, A320 sims are the first to make the move south so there will already be less 320 sim time available. I'm guessing they'll hold off for now. Either that, or a 365 day conversion window with very late conversion dates for new 320 people.

There will be no loss of training capacity with the simulator move. Two simulators have already been contracted out to cover the two that will be down.

I really like congressman Hank Johnson from GA worried that Guam would tip over and capsize if we move more marines to the island.

I dig it!
