Didn't play the game - but spent many nights in Catania. Hint for all the guys about to play - its about 2/3 up the eastern coast of Sicily - just southeast of Mt. Etna. For all curious about the Navy connection, NAS Sigonella is about 10 miles from Catania.

I was just out looking for Nero d'Avola the other day. Pickings are slim in my current neck of the woods.

I don't know what you want to pay, but do an online search. A lot of wine shops will ship to you and you might find that fine sicilian vino locally doing a search.

26745, not bad for a domestic pilot...

(I did live in Europe for 21 years though)

24,040. With a Geography degree.

My 15 year-old blew my score away - but his brain is much bigger than mine.

23,201... but round 1 was brutal for me. I was about to just give up. Seriously, Faro? Where the heck is that?

I was better off in rounds 2 and 3. I think I missed Istanbul by 4 miles and Rome by 10.

Been dropping my whole line for about 7/8 years. You're not far off on your guess about the pay hrs...and until very recently, been getting the pay for about 50/55hrs of block. (Now the pay will stay the same, but looks like I'll fly about 60/65hrs of block.)

My seniority has varied from 20 to 30/35 above reserve. My quality of life/trips/time off/pay has been way above what my seniority could hold.

Caution! This is graduate level stuff...do not attempt this without knowing section 12, 23, and PBS cold!

Also, if junior, must live an hour or less from the parking lot...Plus; must have 200 or better pilots in your category, and probably only works in ATL & DTW, i.e., must be in a category where they make up trips everyday. As always, YMMV, do your homework!

Good Hunting!

P.S. Does not involve trip parking...don't know anything about it, and as my wife will tell you, nobody likes me, so I probably couldn't find any friends to swap with anyways!

HA! Very funny. My wife wouldn't say it that way, she'd be more subtle but same point "do you have any friends you could swap with?"

I'm not going to do it because I am so far junior and live 1:30 from the crew room when you add the bus. And besides when I see the seniority numbers that WS's go to that's all I need to do about how senior you have to be.

But I knew it had to be a money maker or I wouldn't hear so much about it.

How's 22,525 for a regional guy who's never been overseas?

I thought I tanked on round 1, but did OK in Round 3, where the points can really add up. I missed Barcelona by 4 miles, Madrid by 14, and Istanbul by 23. The rest I was just throwing darts.

I was only 19 miles off target for Dresden - I think that's better than some guys did with B-17s.
