I know a couple of guys who are flying for Asian carriers - the initial B767 course at one carrier took 6 months, and a CRJ course took 8 months.

Meh. I wouldn't do it unless I was prequalified and all that kind of stuff.. in other words, I don't NEED to do it, I just think it might be fun to go back to Asia again for awhile. And if they dangled a 5 year $18K /month (mostly tax free) contract under my nose.. I might do it. The missus likes Asia.. especially Korea, so it could be fun. But I'm definitely not burning any bridges. I appreciate the information..

I live in SLC and can attest to the winds but don't know about the flying. On reserve and never got called so I flew the couch.

Memory items wouldn't have saved this crew from "Screwing the pooch," which in my opinion is exactly what they did. When electrical things don't work correctly, my first inclination is to check ALL CB panels for poppers. In this case, only an electrical problem could have resulted in or caused the gear not to deploy. As a 767 Captain, I know that the lack of the center hydraulic system will not cause the gear to have an extension problem. All for now.

Well, and then pull out the red bordered hard card. :)

Oh, there you go. Now you've upset Xray678 by suggesting that a fNWA procedure might have merit....

(Al Hartmann | The Salt Lake Tribune) Tipped-over semitruck lies along the shoulder of I-15 northbound near Farmington on Thursday morning. I-15 was closed Thursday morning to high-profile vehicles due to the high winds in Davis County. A wind gust was recorded at 100 mph in Centerville.

Is the station club still there? I invented a drink there called the white dog back in the late 80's, I heard it is now drank nationwide.:D Mix the little yogurt shooter with soju...look ma, I'm invisible!
