Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Do we have to take the flowback? If one takes it and decides that it ain't for him, can one resign without resigning from Delta? Will leaving or not taking the flowback jeopardize one's return to Mother Delta?

I see both of these coming in our near future. I am sure the senior guys will get something for it, but the company needs a AE/Surplus bid now so they can see where we will be post SOC and then they will furlough off of that. After that is cleared up we may have another small bid.
(All IMHO)
That way it clears up the problems with furloughing out of seniority order.
If we stomp our feet on this, they may just take it from one side (guess which one) and make us hate each other for life.
Those look like the options to me.

See more reasons to get em on our list.

Year Two as a CA and Year four as an FO. Well that or your DAL pay if it is lower. (Psst it's not) 2nd yr CA ~64 an hr at CPS

The problem children will be AirTran and the other unhedged LCC's. They looked like geniuses when oil was $35...now they're unhedged at $72. Those numbers are going to look REAL bad.

Of course, if I get swine flu... what happens when you get swine flu?

Actually, our numbers might be better than expected. We are still currently fuel hedged at prices around where we are now and maybe a bit higher. We were taking a hit on paper when fuel was way down because our hedges were underwater. Now our hedge position is about break even which will make our paper numbers better.

I thought we have some great fuel hedges going into 2009, is that not the case?

Or is that wishful thinking on my part when I join you? I'd love to fly that thing. It looks like a lot of fun and I see them everywhere.

I don't think going to fly for CPS as an FO would make any financial sense for most DAL pilots.
