What is a commonly used headset on the fleet? The Telex 750?

NWA used to provide those, but I don't imagine that has been maintained since the merger. I'm wondering if I need to buy my own pair?

Also, would the 7ER guys on reserve recommend signing up for Global Entry?

Thanks in advance.

750s are pretty common, but on the rare occasion I actually fly an international trip, I usually leave it home and use the David Clark. Takes up valuable packing space and no one uses them in cruise.

Global Entry is a no-brainer if you're a commuter. I'm not and I still have it. Get stuck behind one foreign crew and you'll know why.

Isn't that what you've been saying for each phase of the lawsuit? How are those predictions working out so far?

750 works great. I have an 850, but most pilots take it off at cruise, and especially on international flights when pilots are swapping seats every few hrs.

I use whatever headset is on the aircraft. Most use the speakers above 18k since the ER is fairly quiet. If you going to be doing a lot of domestic which is likely I would get a better personal headset. Global Entry is a must have if you will be out of NYC. Don't leave home without if you want to make your commuter flight back to home!!! Terminal 4 can be a real killer if you don't have it.

I did not even know about the lawsuit a year ago. Not sure what you mean by phases. No damages have been awarded or even determined yet.

It is the expidited entry kiosk at Customs, which allows you to bypass standing the the sometimes very long crew line (ATL, early morning or late afternoon) and just get your 'ticket' from the kiosk and blow...if the kiosk is working that is!
