Like the heated discussion about the new reserve system since I've been on it since '08, but looking for some quick intel....after looking at Travelnet and talking to fellow DAL pilots, can anyone confirm that One Great Team passes are upgradable during international flights now....like to JNB? If so, would it be better to S2 or use the pass? Thanks!

Yes upgradeable, if over 6 yrs old. You supposedly get listed after the Freq fliers but before nonrevs on the list. You are getting positive space and don't pay taxes, so one great team would be better than even S2 on all accounts.

Got respect for the ol' corps, but that doesn't mean it can't be worse than what was previously experienced.

In my case I'll reach the 60% percentile (about my earliest point to make it to the left seat) after 15 years with the company.

Jesse,

Oh it is definitely worse now - I agree 100% with that. Just pointing out that stagnation has come and gone for decades depending mainly on where one is in the hiring cycle. And even though I wasn't here then either, the early 90's guys have had their share of crap also: B scale, No Jump-seat, leadership 7.5, furloughs, and a few other gems.

Question on reserve stuff ...

We're on day one of the month. Someone in my category already has credit for two SCs. All I see on the schedule is an international SC. How could they already have credit for two SCs?

Right now I am about midway up the list in my ATL category. In five years........I will be about midway up the list of my ATL category.

That was depressing.
Even with all the retirements we'll get from US Air?

I keed, I keed. If that happens, I'll be on the street and there won't be much keeding on here!

I just looked at the list. That can't be correct. 1/31 was the 1st day of the Feb bid period. Said individual sat SC on 1/31 & not 2/1 so I don't see how there could be credit for 2 SC's.

You still pay the taxes on international flights. I paid around $160 for both to CDG. I'll see how the upgrade works when I go next month. Other than that it's a great deal!

Someone on here said people are sitting reserve for 4-5 years now. I've been on reserve for 4 years already. I could easily be on reserve another 5 years on the smallest equipment. It should have read 8-9 years.

Captain pay based on current 2012 PWA and 2004 C2K pay. Second table adjusts for inflation.
