As for the fall of another airline. It looks like LLC is getting close. It appears that their book are not how it seems.

For some reason our management thinks that they or UAUA are not long for this world. That bodes well for the pilots. Because of this firm belief they will keep a lot of people on they do not need so they can react very quickly with a almost overnight capacity increase.

Interesting post.. On one hand you intimate that Boeing might sell airplanes at a high interest rate... yet in the next paragraph you talk about the demise of at least one carrier that has more 777s at the gates in IAD than DAL does in the entire fleet. If.. UAUA goes down (and I for one hope they do not, nor do I believe they will..) then what leverage would BA have wrt charging big interest rates for their airplanes when they could be had at a fraction of the price elsewhere? Maybe management DOES know something... wait.. wait... it IS a black helicopter

Yup.. I got that too... Delta Tech better get some more bandwidth.. and quick  I finally got on.. but it took several attempts. As far as I am concerned.. when I am on a long call day.. I'll try a couple of times.. then it's up to scheds to notify me if they need me.

I found the number to the Help Desk and there's a message saying they're performing maintenance today. It doesn't give a time when it will be back up.

Think it will go to one extreme or another with the New Midwest/Frontier. BK in 2 years or they become a large "low cost carrier" equal to Southwest.

Time will tell.

But here's the 31 million dollar question.....

Why is Delta leaving the door cracked open now versus slamming the door on AirTran?

Do you think AirTran would pay 32 million for Midwest?

What is the help desk number? I think we will all need it...wonder what happens when they switch the reservations systems over.

I'm getting the same error. Actually, I've been having problems with the new TravelNet since they released it on Tuesday. Today's the first day that I haven't been able to get logged in, though.

I can't log in at ALL right now, for the past hour. DeltaNet is fine and then when it tries to go into TravelNet it can't. Worked fine yesterday though.

First, 777's are not the only jet we would be looking at, and Two, UAUA would not necessarily go the way of Braniff. More like to a point where a they must merge or be acquired.

Not black helicopters there buddy.

Call the VRU. If you have SC or a trip make the scheduler fax it to you. Then make the help desk help you with your reservation to get to work. That kind of call volume will make them get this fixed real quick!
