I don't know, but I hope #100,000 is underboob and not DPA vs. DALPA.

Or maybe there will be a major announcement and we'll get a new answer to post #1:

I second Check's motion, on the 100,000th post let it be a repost of Guard Dude's original.

Come on guys, most of this between Carl and everyone else is BORING.

How about some rumors? Speculation on 717/A319s? Space Shuttles or Sonic Cruisers? Anything is better than arguing with Carl.

Had fed on jumpseat that works with Delta and he said the 717 deal was supposed to be announced last Tuesday. Apparently we are giving up a bunch of 737 options to SWA in exchange for 717. He said it must have hit a snag since it didn't get announced.

There is a special MEC meeting on 18 Apr. Delta of course does not need DALPA's permission to purchase or sell aircraft or even merge with the likely suspects so it may be just a update on negotiations. Still the company has been very good the last few years about giving the MEC a heads up on their plans.

Seems like we shouldn't have to give up a thing for the 717s especially something so valuable.

From talking to three different reps, the evidence is pointing to the "opportunity" being a large influx of ~115 seat aircraft. We are being asked to facilitate this by raising the 76 seat aircraft limit by 35 to 50 aircraft.

I asked each rep how they would vote if that is what happens. One said he'd vote NO, period. The other two said they would only vote YES if there was iron clad language that forced the company to remove those new RJ's, if mainline aircraft decreased.

Like I've said earlier, the bottom half of the list is more important than ever before.

In other words, we are being asked to pay for it. Will it mean growth or just replacing larger paying aircraft for smaller paying ones?
