I remember my days as an FE on the 727...I used to get to the layover hotel and just collapse on the bed, completely exhausted. It wasn't until I went to the MD88 that I realized it was the noise level on the 72 that was causing the fatigue.

Very useful
Thanks. I have a May 23 class. This will come in handy.

After sitting in indoc for two weeks, class 16-10 discovered the new hire guide. Definitions, pay discussion, most of the topics that we talked about over beers each night.
The new hire guide is on DeltaNet, so you have to have your employee number, which for me arrived the Saturday before day-one Monday. Once you get DeltaNet access, the new hire stuff can be located by clicking on "Admin" on the Flight Operations department page (bottom left side in a list of clickable tabs). On the Admin page, there is a "New Hire" tab on the right side of the page. I wish I'd had those documents when I started training. --Sparky |
Good info.
Thanks for this info. Did you ever find out what base and equipment the plug in that class received? I am a SSP guy with a May 23 class.

Not saying it isn't loud, but the loudest I've experienced was when I was a navy on the B-52. You had to have earplugs in when you went from helmet to headset or you'd suffer. After an 8 hour flight the noise took such a toll I would sometimes ralph after getting back to the squadron. The noise level on the C-130 was much more acceptable, but by M88 and 717 standards it was awfully loud.
Make sure you mention this to your AME during your next visit, he'll be interested! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ulf-region.jpg |
"navy"...that`s SAC talk for "navigator". He`s not speaking about squids.

I have a couple of questions on non-reving. My wife and child are trying to go from CHS to MIA thru ATL. What happens if they do not get on their flight in ATL? Does the gate agent then list them for the next flight, and where would they be listed for that flight ( before or behind the next non-rev passengers)? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

DAL Poolie Info
LCP, if you family doesn't get on the MIA flight the gate agent should automatically roll them to the next flight, most will make an announcement saying as much. As for the next flight, their priority will be once again racked and stacked based on your seniority date within your category (s2, s3, s3b, etc.) No different because you were rolled into this flight.
