I wonder how this TA will affect Richard's medical condition?

So the precedent has been set that we must take concessions to get an early or on time contract. Other than that we will be parked.
That means unless we settle for more concessions in 3 years this new TA will be a 5 year contract minimum(trip NMB and all)...followed by getting released to strike.
So when do you want to stop the concessions with the current contract or the new TA? At some point we will be parked. It's just a matter of how much we want to lose before that decision is made.
That's being said I don't think we will be parked. If we are though I rather be parked with this contract than the new TA.

That is why this TA is totally unacceptable. Long term it is a disaster for DAL Pilots. In the best negotiating environment we may ever see we are willing to trade QOL for an average pay raise of about 5% per year.
The MEC will argue that PS is "at risk" pay and that decling profits are just around the corner. Well what if that is actually true and we vote this TA in?
What do you guys think the company will offer in 2018 if we are not making a profit? If they offer 5% with record profits what will they offer then? I don't know, how about a 10% pay-cut so that DAL could remain competitive?
And then when it comes time to claw back that 10% what QOL life items will we have to sell?
For anybody with the long term interests of the DAL pilots in mind this TA is terrible. Relative to the negotiating environment we are lowering the "Bar" so low we are basically laying it on the floor.

You often have opinions from outside Delta especially about aviation business. There was a truckton of talk on 2012 about CRJ lines and engines and now there's a training issue for regionals flying CRJs. There are quite a few companies that benefit by this PWA not passing.

the sad thing is a lot of pilots I spoke to that are voting yes acknowledge the concessions and shrug their shoulders and still go for the money. If youre gonna sell out for money it might as well be a real pay raise. This TA just proves how self destructive we are. I wouldn't be surprised if this TA saves the company even more than analysts project, and w-2's stagnate, with all the staffing efficiencies, significant reduction in GS, higher TLV, etc.
