I'm glad he did it though. It shows he is pragmatic and focused on economics. Not motivated by emotion or spite. We've had some CEOs in the past who would never have done this. |
What's the lesson here folks? Don't settle!
Up until you guys voted down the TA management had you by the balls. Now, not so much. Are you guys really going to do what it takes to get a contract that reflects the financial well-being of Delta or will it all fall apart down the stretch? |
Congrats, glad to hear of the continuing growth at mainline.

But at least they're going to be flown by DELTA pilots and not a bunch of regional punks. That in itself is a huge move in the right direction.
An ASA captain, who was not exactly widely admired by the pilot group, upon hearing of my impending career move commented " You know you'll be flying with a lot of ********* captains over there don't you? I figured this was one bridge worth burning so I responded " In that case I'm glad I flew with you as now I'll be prepared" . Well worth it! |

Rumor has always been on the west coast replacing the 717 that would then be sent east most likely nyc.
Which then I guess they'd move the 88's out of nyc? They absolutely were looking at putting the training department for the 190 in lax. But that was not set in stone. |

I thought I read somewhere that they were going to be based in SEA to feed the Asian gateway as well as the west coast.:D
You'd have a 100 seater-ish and a 110 seater on the west coast. Given the way the west coast is run that's one too many airplanes on the west coast. Which is one of the issues with the pay being below the 717. If you're LAX717 and they yank it out and put the E190 in it's place to do the same flying, kind of stinks. They need to be equal. |

Ummmm, I'm not a Delta pilot nor have I ever claimed to be a Delta pilot. I am a regional lifer that has been around long enough to witness the incredible devastation caused by the RJ love affair. Things are finally returning to how they should be. Planes should be flown by the respective pilots of that carrier and not the bottom feeder lowest bidder. I'm not going to engage in any internet battles on this thread.
