Default Concessions??

IMO the UAL TA will pass easily.

The United pilots TA sets their hourly rates on the 767-400 and A 330 19% above ours.

THE UNITED PILOTS MADE NO CONCESSIONS

THE UNITED PILOTS MADE NO CONCESSIONS

Management's counter proposal better not contain concessions.

That ship has sailed.

Who makes concessions during historic profits? ?

One pilots opinion.
There are also many of us at United who feel that extending a contract that already contained numerous concessions originally IS a concession!

You mention the 76-4 payrate. Great. What about the fact that our 76-3 will still pay $35 less than the 76-4? Concession from 2012.

How about the CS100? A 737-5oo/717 type aircraft. It will pay $185 an hour. $50 less than it's comparable aircraft. (and $10 less than your current B717, your smallest aircraft). Our 12th yr widebody (except 76-3, pays even less!) FO's will be paid more than our 12th yr CS100 Captains!

But a contract is more than just payrates. It's about total compensation... and workrules are part of that compensation.
At the end of the day, this TA does nothing to move the bar besides raising the payrates on some aircraft.
Will it make it easier or harder for Delta Pilots to make gains in workrules? I don't know.

I do know that IF you guys just end up with a single dollar more an hour than our TA rates, you will still make more at the end of the year based on some of your workrules and Profit Sharing. And due to the wording of our 'Delta Snap Up' clause, we will see nothing!

Nothing worthwhile is ever gained without a fight or breaking a sweat. In these times of record profits for our industry, shouldn't we all be trying to raise the bar?
I hope my pilot group will follow your lead and Vote NO, so we can go into full section 6 talks in 4 months. But I believe it will pass because many pilots are voting YES due to the 'Fear' of an upcoming (months!) financial crash, or some sort of mega terrorist action such as what happened on 9/11.
[I've heard both of these reason, numerous times~]

If not now, when?

Always

I agree with you. If I was a UAL pilot I would vote No.

Our rejected TA failed across the board AND was filled with ADDITIONAL severe concessions.

Making concessions during record profits is unsat.

I've emailed my "new" 44 reps, that our counter is my absolute rock bottom... especially considering that it did nothing to recover any retirement for this "deadzoner"...

ANYTHING less than the counter is an automatic NO!

We are making BILLIONS!

NOW is our time!

If we have to go to the mattresses... so be it!

I doubt we will have to resort to prostitution. Oh, did you mean to say "go to the mat"?
