Nope...we do have heavy metal flying. You are correct, but don't take me out of context too much Math guy.
I was highlighting some off the flying Delta sells as new international flying at times....and yes I know they have added some stuff out of MSP and SLC.

On the other hand replacing JFK-MAN that was once a 767 with a 757 is a bit troubling, and outsourcing it to a code share partner is the worst. If DAL did that (and they have) and then advertised it as "new service" then yes you have a valid complaint as we all do.
Keep voting yes sellout.
But what makes one a "sellout" and why do you feel the need to call someone that? If voting yes for a TA makes a guy a sellout, then you have decades worth of fellow pilots who are all perpetual sellouts (TA15 excepted). I don't know how you can even sit in the same cockpit with them.

If the flying is additional int'l flying flown by DAL seniority list pilots then what's not to like? There are times when a 757 doing service from PIT-CDG is a good thing. Would you prefer we not fly it at all? Many markets start small, and eventually get to bigger equipment...and sometimes not at all.

*** does that have anything to do with anything? I voted no on TA15 if that makes you happy--and would again--though that doesn't give me or anyone else any "street cred." It just means I didn't find the TA worthy of a yes vote. If I had, I would've voted for it.

My whole point is our widebody fleet is small....and not getting any bigger....like it is at other airlines. I'm 100% for DAL seniority list guys/gals getting the flying. And at times, it is economical to fly some planes compared to others. I never argued or stomped m feet we should fly a certain airframe on a certain route...just making a point

According to Airbus, it has 100nm more range than a 757W. So, 6 more minutes at cruise?? I'm calling that about equal. And we know how the makers often promise stats that don't always happen when the actual thing gets in the air. But it does look to be a 757 replacement.

If Herk says he voted no then I believe him. Rememer dont attack the person, but provide a good logical counterargument instead. I personally disagree with Herk on many things, but I still respect that hes entitled to his opinion.
Herk, I think the frustration from many of us here is that weve been too naive and trusting of our international fleet plan. Its pretty apparent whats happening now and while I don't have a problem with 757s or A321s flying oceanic, i have a problem with the pay and JV metrics. We cant continue to allow the company to steamroll us on this. We hold the line here.

Lufthansa isn't too happy being the guinea pig with the GTFs. With it being such a new tech and the complexity of the gears, right now they are requiring a 10 (yes TEN) minute warmup AND cooldown for the engines. I imagine that will go down as reliability is proven, though.
The 321NEO has 100nm more range than the 757W with 13,000 lbs less fuel. Impressive.

I heard we are getting a dozen gently used dot matrix printers from lease returns at IBM. Also some sweet new ergonomic keyboards from Microsoft. BF Goodrich has some used tires and belt loader treads we might get our hands on. Then there's the machine tools from snap-on if we can get the mechanics to give up road trip overtime. Blah... blah... blah... WGAS.
