China Eastern to add planes with U.S. expansion in mind

China Eastern (NYSE:CEA) wants to increase the size of its fleet by over 40% to 800 aircraft by 2020, according to president Ma Xulun.

1.e.9 subtly placed in the failed TA. We need to protect and enhance our JV, codeshare and outsourcing sections.

Ed Bastian is a China Eastern board member. He knew about this awhile ago. He also knows where this is going in the next few years. 1,3,5,10 year strategic business plans. The Chinese have them too and they are approved by their board.

The US carriers will feel it, because some of those China Eastern pilots will be US pilots taken out of the pipeline....it will make it harder for the US carriers to have enough pilots.
