Now that's good news. I love Oregon Trail.

I heard the onboard GPS didn't play nicely with the Jepp software. One of the 737 big-wig check guys was testing the Bad Elf Bluetooth GPS receiver and he said we could be getting them soon. I'm not holding my breath. (But for $150 on Amazon, I have heard they work really well for taxi situational awareness.)

I heard they will have GPS installed, but no moving map!
Although I've seen the gps moving map work really good on surface pro 2 with no problems... forget how. :D |
This should surprise no one. The day I receive a Surface 3 is the day they come off the shelves for good.
It has to have better RAM than the current POS. Nothing is slower than the 2, or sadder than Windows RT. |
Hopefully you don't get the one with only 2G RAM like we did, Jepp map will crash it for sure.

Bring it up to management. Something something something seattle.
If we went with the VASTLY superior iPad platform and MS got mad, who exactly would they go for? Alaska, who uses iPads too and their discombobulated little network? If we have to buy them to get the deal then fine, buy them and put them here and get iPads anyway. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Warehouse.jpg |

I don't believe that for a second.

I used the iPad with the same jepp software at previous company and it's night and day. iPad was much smoother and faster.

What's up with Apple fans always comparing an Ipad to a Surface with 2GB of memory with fake windows.
How about you compare it to the Surface with an i7 processor, 16GB of memory, and a full operating system. If Delta goes with a Surface 3 with 4GB of memory and a atom processor, I would hardly call that the Surface's fault or a true comparison of what the Surface can do. At a minimum, they should be getting a Surface 3 with 8GB of memory and a i3 processor, otherwise you will see the system bog down. |
