Surface 3

We tested both, the iPad was by far the best, and then we chose Surface3. The devise runs ok but jepp crashes or locks up on it regularly. It's also been more difficult to hot spot for me with an iPhone. However, I do like the full computing capability for downloading programs rather than just being limited to the App Store. iPad needs computing as well as a USB port.

I wonder how it would perform with a Surface 3 or 4 that has 8-16GB of memory and a i3-i7 processor.

"Pilots may have noticed recent media reports that Microsoft is ceasing production of Surface 3 tablets. Microsoft has confirmed that while customer demand for Surface 3 has been high, inventory is limited - and manufacturing will end in December 2016. The discontinuation of the Surface 3 is a fairly typical part of the product cycle as new technology becomes available."
Yeah, demand is high, that's why they are discontinuing the product. What a load.

They are discontinuing the Surface 3 with the ARM processor and 4GB of memory. Surface 3 Pro was discontinued a while ago when the Surface 4 came out. Basically Microsoft is finally realizing to stop making fake Windows Surfaces (RT) and those with crappy processors (ARM).
