Default DAL scheduling

There seems to be a lot of questions regarding scheduling lately, so I thought as a new hire lurker I'd start a thread for those like me w/scheduling questions. My question is regarding authorized personal drop. Basically, PWA says auth'd personal drop will be authorized if reserves avail is greater than 25% of that required according to DBMS and formulas in PWA 23.W.....My question is does DBMS Pilot Reserve Levels reflect the formulas in PWA 23.W or is that something one should calculate to confirm accuracy of DBMS before making plans based on likelihood of APD being approved. Thanks in advance for the help.

I think they just use the numbers from the reserve grid on icrew. If there is at least 25% coverage they have to grant your APD unless its 2 days prior to, or 1 day following any of the holidays that are listed in the PWA. If that is the case, they can deny your APD no matter what the reserve staffing is.

On a case by case basis if you are denied, call your CP. They can override at their discretion. It's a last ditch way of getting it, but it can work.

Is there any way to tell Delta to stop robo-calling me in the middle of the night with inverse assignments?

The numbers change by the PCS run. You may not get it at 7, but maybe later. It's higher math.

Yes there is. It's on DeltaNet
Click on "My Division'
Click on "Crew resources & Scheduling"
Under the Misc. heading click on "Crew Notification Preferences"
On "Off Duty" block, you can set the no call times.

May the odds be ever in your favor.
