Our TA1 was pitiful and the company came to the negotiation table with an offer less than TA1. It will be a long fight if we expect to get anything close to industry standard.

did you end up taking the DL interview?

Our CEO says "thousands of pilots are lined up at the door to work here" so pay must not be an issue. IMO only the mediator can move us forward. We've been hoping you guys will lift us up, not vice versa!

Hard to believe after 4 years people aren't bringing the place to a standstill.

People are too busy tripping over their di**s picking up premium pay.

Nope. Just couldn't accept the fact I'd have to commute for the rest of my career.

New SWA TA Will Set The Bar Higher

This is critical information.

In my opinion, the Southwest pilots will soon have a new TA.

I believe the 737 captain rate will be $280 per hour.

Their hour is :54 minutes.

Therefore you need to add 11% to get an equivalent for our contract.

$280 X 11% = $311.

Once they have a new TA $311 per hour for a 737 captain will be the rate all our hourly rates will be based off of.

Time is on our side.

Patient for the right deal.

From SWA current hourly of $216 to $311 is a 44% increase. Not sure that is attainable based on their recent negotiating history. Time will tell...

Better read it again. He said $280

Saltshaker,

I read it correctly the first time. $216 is their currently converted hourly rate on APC, he anticipates $311 as the new converted hourly rate. I'm talking apples to apples (converted hourly rates) and I believe my math is corrrect.

Converted for us $311. Apples to apples.

I won't even get into their vacation and 19 hour 3 day trips vs our 15:45.

I'll help you out there. :D

Reserve=15 days off to my understanding.

Average line of flying 17-19 days off with the productive trips they do.
