No to this proposal, no to concessions of any kind. Perhaps a United like negotiation is the way to go for these talks. Big raise extend the current contract a couple years. While I'm not a fan of not attaining huge gains in many areas of the contract it appears we are not heading in that direction.

I have a sinking feeling were going to have a shiny repeat of TA15. I could probably support a short enough deal that puts me at the top of the industry on pay. Then we can try canning the union leadership, again.
I agree and I don't think the company gets it. Why would we accept something worse than we currently have?

Default Agreed to CONCESSIONS

Same repackaged CONCESSIONS. Unlocking value, operational needs, only impacts a few.... sound familiar? All about pay RATES, again.

Ask your reps (some may give more complete answers than others). This is shaping up to be another doozy.

We need to help the company out of the financial bind they are in. You need to dig into your pocket and help management get through this tough time. Management will get you back later, definitely next time. Next contract time they got you. In the interim, they could use a little help.

......this TA is setting the landscape for the next big one, you won't even get through the end of the amendable date before we have the next big TA.

I've always thought our unused sick leave should roll over to be available in the future, should you have something catastrophic happen. Twice I've had to go onto LTD because of long term illness. Both times were following years of minimal sick leave usage. Had our sick leave rolled over, I wouldn't have had to eat a 50% pay cut on LTD, and I'd still have a thousand hours in the bank.

NW had a bank, I never flew under that program but I've heard stories, perhaps the ones who have worked under that system can tell us if they like the Delta 270, use it or lose it, better?

I wish I had all my 30+ years of unused sick leave available for use now! You are all just one bad car wreck, or illness, or EKG blip away from a 50% pay cut!

Maybe, but I don't think so.

If they send us another turd loaded with concessions while the company is making this much money, it will be the end of ALPA on this property.

Of course the sick time is going to go up when the Company is blocking everyone to 90 hours a month like they are now.. Plus a lot of rotations have scheduled deadheads on them, and where is the easiest place to catch a cold/flu? Yep, the back of the airplane. Also, I do not like any system that pays you for unused sick usage..This encourages pilots to fly when they are sick..period.

Pilots are professionals and shouldn't fly when they are sick. Period.

Who's they? The MEC (local reps) or the MC/Negotiating committee? There is a difference. What if the these two aren't on the same page...

Hypothetically of course....
What if the negotiating committee already agreed to lots of concessions the majority of the reps are not okay with, but were just discovering??? Where do we go from there??? Maybe give your reps a call.
