I know people who have barely used their banks for many years, one major event happens, and at least they can stay on full pay for a long time to cover it. This one is worth fighting for.
Just remember. Sick bank can be done away with with the stroke of a pen. Fool me once...

First I need them to deliver a contract with no concessions on sick, scope, JVs and then I'll worry about retro. We're going to get retro before those things. Something is going to have to grease the concession skids.

Well, if the poster is correct on the sick leave part of the contract or any part that gives away even the slightest concessions. I'm NO!

I might tolerate some parts being status quo. But no sections of this contract should go backwards. Period!

If there is any truth at all to these rumors, we are in big trouble. Surely the union would not agree to crap like that?!!?

Who exactly are you referencing when you say "the union."

You have the negotiators/chairman running negotiating/agreeing to the agreements in principle. Now what happens if they "agree to crap like that" even though it is not acceptable to the majority of the MEC????

Let your reps know where YOU stand!

Well, based on past history when something substandard is agreed too by the NC, the chairman browbeats the MEC until they vote yes.

Hoping it will be different under JM, but I don't think he could sway some of the current MEC members anyway.
