How are you way behind? With the $40,000 Profit Sharing Checks coming in annually? That equates to about a $50 dollar hourly bonus over book.

You forgot the huge paycut 12 years ago when we got profit sharing, these checks just started coming, let's keep it up though. Thanks for the inspiration, love you bro.

I'd call this an inflection point. These guys are about to burn the ships, like Cortez, to take us into the jungle for the foreseeable future. If they do, it won't be because they can't get a deal, but because they're running out on their own process, and their pilots. I also believe that they're lying to us about polling/surveys, and letting politics drive decisions, not the pilot group.
WE own the ships. If anyone is going to light a match, first, I say we vote.
With that being said, I think there's a little latitude left. I see plenty of room to sneak in a solid deal between the respective openers. Weeks are certainly doable; years, not so much. Let's see what these 19 can do.

And we need to be told that by a United guy? Duh

Just want to make sure we still have the UAL/AA snap-up provision when the non-cons get a pay raise. We still have that, right? Mgt wanted us to give it up in TA15? We can all agree that there is no reason to take concessions when we have that. Yes, we miss out on some $ for a year or two. But if the company truly has these NEEDS, then it seems to me that we then have the leverage to extract some nice gains in areas beyond pay. Pay will be UAL/AA plus a % or 3. That's a given. But big gains in QOL areas can be had. If we have patience.
Any significant change in the number of GS/WS/sickcalls is tracked and I would think would burn ALPA in a court of law. But how else do we 'carry mgts water'?
Patience.
Trust the 12.
Do I carry mgts water?

Sorry, I don't agree with business as usual. No way will the government let the second largest airline in the world go on strike. For me, I'm bidding my usual line....no extra white slip, no green slip. No duty day extension. I'll fly the contract, I'll go home. If i'm sick, I'm staying home. Wake up. There is NO incentive for the company to have our "sense of urgency" if the business is running as smoothly as ever and we are going "above and beyond" (last IROP) as usual........
