I think you made that whole thing up.

That's probably why he's "unreliable"... Looking at your previous posts, you must have a lot of unreliable sources...

cool story. Would rather get parked and enjoy no QOL cuts and good profit sharing than a bad deal.

I'd expect to see a TA as promised, this summer. I'm cool we blew right past the most optimistic "Richard needs a deal" honeymoon period. I'm willing to give the MEC the latitude they gave themselves: a deal this summer. Now that some of the leaves are falling off the trees, I'm taking a close look. I see that negotiations are stalled, we're about to be put on ice, the MEC is fighting amongst themselves, and the majority wants to start educating us on strikes?
I'd call this an inflection point. These guys are about to burn the ships, like Cortez, to take us into the jungle for the foreseeable future. If they do, it won't be because they can't get a deal, but because they're running out on their own process, and their pilots. I also believe that they're lying to us about polling/surveys, and letting politics drive decisions, not the pilot group.
WE own the ships. If anyone is going to light a match, first, I say we vote.
With that being said, I think there's a little latitude left. I see plenty of room to sneak in a solid deal between the respective openers. Weeks are certainly doable; years, not so much. Let's see what these 19 can do.

There is no reason whatsoever that these guys can't close a deal that meets guidance, and delivers significant value. I want to judge whether their best is good enough. We all deserve that, before we follow them into the purgatory that is multi-year negotiations.
2) Let's not get too dramatic trying to figure out solstices and equinoxes here. They're late, but negotiations often don't unfold as expected. If they can behave like a cohesive body, and they can actually get back tot he table, and keep the ball moving, I'll just keep coloring. What I can't excuse is no results, no accountability, no vote, as the opportunity passes.

1) This summer isn't arbitrary. It was set by the MEC. They were on track to reach a deal last month, then they froze up solid. Everything was geared towards a deal. NMB was still open for business, but shortly they will sit this out and wait for the presidential election. The company is now shifting towards the easier winter months. All of the positive catalysts are accounted for, and baked-in.
