How about MSP? Is that going very junior? And if so what is the best airplane to bid to work on if all you care about is schedule (getting holidays off as soon as possible after getting hired)? MD88? DC9?

MSP has recently become very junior. The last AE had around 60 unfilled positions on the MD88/90 that will eventually be filled by new hires. The DC-9 is now a fairly small fleet and seems to be more senior than the MD88 at least on the FO side. Things can change but right now, you might hold a line quicker on the 88, as odd as that seems.

Looks like MSP will be the most junior base other than NYC 88 which will always win that prize. The 88 will be your ticket to better QOL faster. With the -9 category shrinking and closing within a couple of years it will probably go more senior than the 88 and will be a much smaller category.

Yes, they moved the MD88/MD90 base from SLC to MSP (and opened up an A320 base in SLC) a few months back. There is no MD88 base in DTW. As for new hires, the rumor is MD88 in MSP and NYC and A320 in MSP and DTW (and probably a few DC9 slots in MSP and DTW).

No 88 in DTW. Most newhires will probably see NYC 88, MSP 88, MSP 320, and a few DTW 320 and ATL 88 slots. With the shrinkage in CVG I don't think you'll see anything there for newhires and nothing out West for awhile although the SLC 320 category had some very junior guys on this last bid. I'm sure those guys will get kicked back to MSP when they convert the 767 category on this next bid.

I always thought the SSN number thing was stupid. Why not just put us in order as to how we scored throughout the interview and testing?
