Switching reserve days

I've heard I can submit something to request moving reserve days around. Is that in the PCS in icrew and is it a yellow slip and which one?

(Notice the emoji's? It was in jest.)

For the real answer: You'll get much more detailed/correct information by researching this procedure in the Scheduling Reference Handbook on the Delta ALPA site. Here's the link and instructions of how to get there..

1) https://www.alpa.org
2) "DAL MEC" link (Left side below personal info.)
3) Select "Committees" link (Under DAL MEC banner)
4) "Scheduling Reference Handbook" link (Second column, 2/3 down)

PCS

Leave Requests

Move Reserve Off Days

Note: you are technically moving off days not reserve days.

That "Scheduling Reference Handbook" should be on the Surface. I can't believe they don't even mention it in Indoc. I suggest every newhire I fly with place it on the personal side of the Surface so it's always accessible.

Be aware the that when you move a "golden" X day it becomes a "regular" X day. Most of the time it won't matter but ther can be consequences...

This type of information is so necessary. As is so much more scheduling and pay information. You really should go to the seminar put on by Advantage Seminars. Totally worth it, both time and value. Check out AdvantSem.com

Is there anything in the PWA that says we can't use P/Ds in the middle of reserve blocks if there's adequate coverage? Im assuming that if the PCS system allows it, Im good to go. I just don't want to get harassed by the CPO.

If PCS allows it, you are good to go. There is a long list of rules that PCS follows though. Don't expect to use a one day PD in the middle of a 5 day block. You still have to meet the min days on, max off day groupings, etc rules.

That's why I was asking because it worked on a five day block.
