A college degree, what's it worth in this profession? I have 2 of them and they were to check a box on the application. Finance and teaching, while useful in my personal life have never been my profession. How many of our engineers have actually worked in an engineering capacity? FE doesn't count. How many of our college educated pilots found work in their college educated field during furlough? Why is it a surgeon isn't immediately given a scalpel to carve up patients after reading a book or graduating with a degree? Experience.

Professionals do a lot more learning outside a classroom or college than they do in one.

Why does that make me think of training at Delta?

The original post shows this 'faction' and their mouthpieces will say anything to keep or take control of this pilot group. Makes you wonder what corrupted #+¿!s delta has sent to Herndon over the years. Maskirovka?

What's amazing is that this pilot group has been fighting against the wrong adversary for years. What's amazing is charges or union action isn't being considered in response to some of the trash we've witnessed since TA1. If it takes unconventional, so be it. Maybe 'integrity' will find a spot a bit higher on the union priority list.

I won't see the day, but good luck to those involved in the next mgt-pilot negotiations, one that doesn't involve the pilot group having to work against other pilots. Pilots hiding behind messages of secrecy and fear, and criticisms wrapped in stupidity.

You have a college degree and can't conceptualize a math equation over time. What's you point?

As long as you don't make 3G landings and jam on the brakes, your past education is of no consequence to me.
Funny I personally know a pilot hired by Delta who doesn't have a HS Diploma/GED. Had other boxes checked though. He wasn't a Merger/Flow did it the old fashioned way, and is younger than 50.
