Where the SEA pilots hang?
#1
I'm doing some training in Seattle for a few weeks. I'm stuck in a crappy hotel near SEA (Des Monies). I used to live here so I have seen all the typical sights. Any suggestions on where flight crews hang out while on lay over?

This place is great for cheap beer, I recommend the Alaskan Amber they keep on tap. But the only way to think that the "food isn't too bad" is to already be three pitchers deep.... just sayin'

Well I hit the silver dollar last night. Lost $50 to a cute blonde dealer. Kept loosing so I could talk to her. Had to call it quits when I ran out of cash. Surprisingly it would have been the cheapest date since I was a teenager. ;-)

Sharps Roaster on International Blvd next to SEA is a BIG pilot and industry hangout. Lots of business cards from airline folk throughout the place. Plethora of AS and QX people in there all the time, foreign crews in town for training, etc. KILLER KILLER happy hour menu. Great bang for the buck. Great food.
Oh, and 13 Coins. A notorious post-simulator drop-in for pilots of a certain SEA airline, and frequented heavily by US major crews.
I think 13 Coins is a well-known entity gagging from the stories from many at other 121 shops.
Honorable Mention. Good food...had a killer steak last time I was at Joey Southcenter...and they hire talent, though the Canadian Joey locations, man, the girls are ALL models. Even my wife would agree. Took a captain to a Joeys up north on a layover. His eyes were the size of dish plates the moment we walked in the door...
