OK Sonny boy. How many years of experience do you honestly bring? What types of environments, operators, and places on the globe? Once again knowing your audience.

Quote: Decision making, communication etc. it's not for doing bad stick and rudder things but just like, making poor decisions. Like not running runway change items on a check ride. Just got through my upgrade sims the other Day and passed, it's not bad at all. I just don't see how so many people are struggling with the simple things.
Well done...got a week of sims left and my UG is complete. Soft-Skills have been stressed to us.

If this is directed at me, I'm at a loss as to what you're trying to accomplish with your statements? And what's with the implied insults? If one goes to a book store they pick and choose what books they want to look at. And no author can appeal to everyone. Additionally the audience you speak of is a small percentage in the regional industry

You are the one talking about "Experience" and "Flying with more than one Captain to see how they do things. Good Captains vs Bad Captains.

So my ***SARCASTIC*** reply is "Sonny boy what is your experience? What have you flown and where in the world?******SARCASM ALERT OVER****

Just like I figured won't answer the question yet rather divert attention to a non relatable event such as seeking a book in a book store. Oh now come on s/he.

You surely can't be for real??? You brought up audiences. Did you not? Therefore my reply was not a divert. Additionally my advice was to take the good and the bad from the captains you fly with and put them to good use while one is an FO. Not good verses bad captains as you just said. Good solid advice as opposed to not paying attention. Additionally, the experience levels you bring up don't necessarily make a good leader. So can you please explain your need for sarcasm and how it might relate to being a good captain? I really think you ought to re read my post, because you seem to be talking it way out of context

Anybody know about how long it would take to get MSP as a new hire? How about as a CA? Thanks...

If you need msp, this isn't the airline for you. MSP is shrinking by about 50% over the next year. So we could tell you what it is right now, but it will probably increase for FOs and be practically unobtainable as a CA (unless you want to be here for 20+ years). All our other bases are great to live in and very commutable- but MSP really shouldn't be mentioned as one of our available bases.

9E is about to be a wholly ATL and NYC centric airline.

50% is a bit extreme there. We are closing our MSP200 base, which was about half the size of our CRJ900 base. So, maybe cutting flying by one third in MSP.

The comments about getting a CA slot in MSP are spot on. It'll never happen. I won't go as far as to say its unobtainable as an FO, but it may become harder. We may know more Wednesday (tomorrow) with the next vacancy.
