With the new 18 month seat lock for new hires, someone who wants ATL but comes in for a class that is 900 only will have to wait several months in NYC while a guy or gal in the class behind them may be awarded atl 200 right off the bat.

For what it is worth, we were told in ground school that the initial company assignment does not count towards the seat lock. If we move from the initial equipment award, then the lock starts from the “new” award.
